The Brownies also purchased a kuranda bed and put it together in record time! Everyone signed it including Cato.

On April 1st 2009 the local Roots and Shoots, an organization founded by Jane Goodall, stopped by for a visit.

The Cub Scout Pack 400 Den 14 consists of 7 year olds.
Their theme for November was "Seeds of Kindness". The Den
chose the Conway Animal Shelter as their project. The
boys made up flyers and passed them out. They then
went around and collected all of the items. They brought
everything out to the shelter and had a tour and then spent
time with the animals.

Den Mom Samantha had told all of the cubs that if they
would bake "Home Made Dog Treats" she would eat
some while they were at the shelter.
The boys baked and she ate.

Mikayla had her 7th birthday party on Oct. 25th. She
requested that her friends and family bring toys, treats
and food for the animals at the Conway Shelter, instead
of gifts for herself.  The dogs and cats are really enjoying
all the things she brought for them. The also enjoyed
the time she spent visiting with them.

Conway Clovers 4-H Club donated their time and some
great toys, treats, and food for the animals.  All the dogs
enjoyed the walks and attention they got from the club.
The cats also enjoyed the attention.

Special thank you to Girl Scout and Brownie Troops # 550 & 535 for all of their donations to the animals.  They enjoyed their visit with us.  They are shown here with a Great Dane "Sky". Sky has the run of the kennels and he loves the kids when they come in to visit.  Thank You.

Special thanks to Brownie Troop #581, for all of their donations to the animals. They were here to earn one of their badges.   The animals enjoyed their visit.  Sky just needed to be in the middle of all the girls.   He is now an honorary Girl Scout so make sure you buy your GS Cookies from him. Thank You.
