Neinine

German Shepherd Dog - Young - Male
Adoptable Large Special Needs

Hey don’t you scroll past me….wait now…just listen to my story….I’m not sure how all this happened or why but it’s been a tough year …so many things that I’m not sure where to start. I’m only about a year old but seems like I’ve gone through enough bad luck to last a life time…but hopefully that’s all about to change. There I was limping along the roadside, not making much progress I might add, and so when they offered a ride I hopped in. Well I wasn’t too concerned about my paw but this bad hair…well that just scares people off. Turns out my mom or dad passed down demodex mange to me. Don’t worry, I’m not contagious I just look a hot mess. They have already started special baths for me and I get medicine everyday…..soon I’ll look like a million bucks. I’d like to tell you that’s all but luck just hasn’t been on my side….I’m heartworm positive…yep all that in my short life of just over a year. So now that all the not so good stuff is out of the way…lets talk about the good….my name is Neinine…please promise me you will change my name….geez…I am a male German Shepherd, likely purebred, just over a year old and weigh 75 lbs. I am THE most loyal boy you will ever meet. I am playful and its hard sometimes to contain my excitement when I meet people. I’m a leaner and command a leash like a BOSS! I know I look a little scary but I promise I’m getting all this under control and will be a head turner in no time! I’m available now! Adopting a dog from the Conway Animal Welfare Unit is a fairly easy process. The first step to adopting an animal is submitting an application. The application allows us to individually consider applicants and helps us to properly match our pets with new owners. We want to make sure that our pets are going to homes that are ready to provide for these pets long-term. Adoptions are $50 and this includes vaccinations, heartworm test, spay/neuter and microchip. As with any shelter animal, health is not guaranteed but we do our best to screen out those animals that are showing obvious signs of illness or disclose that information prior to adoption. All dogs are heartworm tested upon adoption.

If you are interested in adopting a dog and you reside OUTSIDE the city limits of Conway and the dog is less than 12 wks old, the cost is $75 which includes a spay/neuter and micropchip. The spay and neuter can only be performed at Vilonia Vet Clinic or Companion Animal Spay/Neuter Clinic. If the animal is less that 12 wks and you live inside the city limits the adoption fee is $25 dollars and you receive a voucher for $120 to use at select clinics for spay/neuter. The other option is that you provide us with proof of a pre-paid spay or neuter at YOUR vet of choice.
